Il Tempo degli Assassini plot

Piero is from the suburbs of Rome. He is married to an ex-prostitute and has a son. He spends his life stealing cars and other petty thefts and dreams of one day hitting big. Piero and his gang continue their activities despite the constant interventions of Don Eugenio, a rather unusual priest, who really lives among the people of his parish. Piero meets Sandra, a young girl whom he impregnates and then abandons, causing her to commit suicide. Angelo, a timid boy influenced by Don Eugenio and a police inspector, is suspected of being responsible for Sandra's death. In the end, the police manage to catch Piero's gang in another theft attempt, but Piero manages to flee...
