This looks a bit more like part 1 of the exorcist.
In the prequel we see Merrin who first has to deal with the demon in an African-esque village. It's not really exciting, but the story is all in all a good one. But what a horrible actor that Chamberlain is! 3*

Don't think this is a good part.
Just like part 2, too much hassle in Africa, which makes the film deviate far too much from the core stuff.
All those intrigues with that tribe did not interest me. The excavation of the temple was nice, but that's about it. Also thought that demon was badly done, just like the horrible sfx.
Disappointing part, really couldn't do anything with it 1*
