After the divorce from Susan, Frank's son Danny is constantly involved in minor crimes with the police. When Susan remarries Rick, Ray suddenly appears, claiming to be an old friend of Rick's. Rick, however, tells a very different story. When Ray suddenly disappears, Danny claims Rick killed him. Susan thinks it's another one of his lies, but Frank has his doubts. He investigates and discovers that Rick is not who he seems.

No startling plot, but decent performances and an excellent villain portrayed by an actor who has often shown that he can also play straight (The cell, [i ]Psycho[/i], The breakup). The director almost always delivers Hollywood falconry, and the scene with the little boy in the back of the car was particularly exciting. Nothing special, but watching intently for an hour and a half is also worth something.

Clichéd and salt-free thriller of which hundreds have already been made. Domestic Disturbance lacks tension and even a bit of originality, and in fact only Vince Vaughn manages to convince a bit as a psychopath. You see a side of Vaughn that you don't see often, and he does it well. John Travolta is mostly boring, and that's not something I thought I'd ever write down.
