Janet is an upper-class housewife living in a suburb. She hires Leo to renovate her bathroom. However, the manipulative contractor begins to psychologically terrorize Janet. When Janet gets fed up, she joins forces with her best friend Tasha to turn the tables. A twisted cat-and-mouse game ensues with unexpected results.

Nice thriller. The story is different, simple and somewhat illogical. But the elaboration is somewhat surprising, although not everyone will appreciate it equally. It is a strange mix of tension, black humor and horror and that poured over with a sexy sauce. The film is easy to watch and as a viewer you roll from one surprise to the next. Not that everything is very surprising, but you have no idea in advance where it is going. It feels bad somehow, but it is not at all. The acting is also quite strong. Eastwoord plays a wonderful role. Visually nothing to complain about. Art or kitsch? You say it. 3.5

Clawfoot is a black comedy that starts off at a leisurely pace. The film introduces the characters, calmly sets up the basic action and sprinkles in some clues that indicate that the situation is not quite right. And then things suddenly escalate and it becomes fun.
This escalation is accompanied by pleasant surprises. Surprises concerning the characters and the story. The developments are funny. The developments are brutal and bloody. And there are always the characters who accompany the events with fine dryly comic, melancholic and hilarious dialogues. It is wonderfully absurd and very nice. The whole is accompanied by a pleasant soundtrack that fits in well with the increasingly intense events. The film is also well cared for in terms of visuals. Cheerful and bright colours form a nice contradiction with the brutal actions of the characters.
Francesca Eastwood and Milo Gibson have well-known surnames and are respectively the daughter and son of the famous actors. Eastwood is not only a visual picture but also knows how to fill in her character perfectly. The acting aspect also applies to Gibson. They are nice characters. Exaggerated and both sympathetic in a certain way. The supporting roles of OLivia Culpo and Oliver Cooper are nice and excellent additions.
Clawfoot is a film with many plot twists. Although not all are equally successful, they keep the pace going. The final twist is satisfying in itself but is a bit disappointing in its execution. The ending could have been a bit dirtier, more juicy and more melancholic in my opinion. That does not alter the fact that Clawfoot offers great entertainment over the full 90 minutes. The nonsensical but finely biting dialogues provide great entertainment. The surprising course of the action provides not only entertainment but also a great basic tension. Clawfoot is simply a nice black comedy.
