Bei Mian plot

China, mid-90s. Thirty-year-old Hong Tao has moved from the countryside to Beijing, where he now works in an upscale restaurant. Since the Cultural Revolution, he has been living with a remarkable secret. At the time, his father was Mao Zedong's famous portrait painter and, obsessed with the leader, he started tattooing Mao on people. Hong Tao, oppressed by this heavy legacy, wants to hide it from the world. However, a new wave of unscrupulous antique collectors is making it difficult for him.
