Since most movies have my grade below average on MM and IMDB (am I being too critical?), I'm surprised I'm well above it now. And then lowered it slightly in the revision.
Wonderful mystery atmosphere, darkly played and quite a bit of tension. The setup is original and once Anna starts talking on the 'preparation table' I can imagine that the audience will be split in two by the apparently supernatural plot. I like it anyway. The atmosphere is oppressive, the phases that Anna goes through are interesting and the dialogues are just as interesting. As a viewer you are left in the dark about the way things are going, with some hints here and there. Nice.

Key scene is where Anna looks at herself in the mirror, where 3 things come together: as a viewer you know that she's still alive, Jack sees her standing there and Anna resigns herself to her death. Beautifully done. It is poignant how the outside world at that moment will fight for her possible life, where she herself is now working towards her funeral in peace.

A plot hole is that -despite the fact that the setting of 'a small village' can explain a few things - it is illogical that Eliot can arrive first in many accidents to inject the drug (after which the victim is declared dead). will be). The horror-like scenes didn't add anything to me either.

Highly original thriller where the theme of supernatural and serial killer is used interchangeably. The fact that I can't write this review without a lot of spoiler tags says it all. Who likes mystery, oppression and a dark atmosphere: watch.

I just saw the movie, twice. At first I didn't understand it all when the movie was out, so watched it again and I have to say, it's the details that do it. During her accident, she is cut off by a white van, and now happens to let the undertaker have the same one. The bottle he uses to give her injections also becomes clearly recognizable at a certain moment. So she's still alive, so is the boy, but his mother is dead, just like Paul at the end. Strong Liam, and Ricci. The boy also has a certain appearance. Nice movie to watch on a dark evening
I just googled Christina Ricci because her face said something to me but didn't know why. She played in The Addams Family, which is why I "know" her.

Thought this was an extremely strong thriller, with a fairly dark and gloomy atmosphere throughout the film, love it. I'm now also a big fan of Liam Neeson, but mainly know him from action thrillers and as the good guy, a relief, to see him in a different kind of role. And of course Christina Ricci is always very nice to watch. Really pleasantly surprised by this captivating film.
