What a crappy movie this was. Based on my Netflix history I thought I could watch this one too, but what a dragon. There are some active bits at the beginning and at the end, the rest is just chatter about nothing.

It's about a suitcase that is black or red with something in it that different people want and different people have different gifts.

But why those people want that briefcase and what's actually in it is a mystery to me, and the story isn't so appealing that I really want to know now.

1.5 for the effort.

Apparently I hadn't seen this one yet, strange that I completely missed it all this time, since the story and genre (sci-fi superhero) definitely suit me, I can appreciate Chris Evans very much, Dakota Fanning, then about 14 years, still top child actress and that Camilla Belle could also be there . And yes, I had a good time with this, the story captivated me, the pace was good, the cast played the characters more than well, as you might expect. As a Marvel fan you can certainly do something with this.

Reasonable.

Not the best of Paul McGuigan, but his hand is still recognizable. Push is therefore often a collection of good ideas. Only the implementation is not always successful. The story is pretty clunky - it doesn't seem like McGuigan really wasted a lot of energy on embellishing it either. He seems to have been more concerned with creating his own world, with lots of color and hip tricks.

Push is often put into perspective. That is to say: those screaming henchmen don't seem to be there just like that. Also a bit too much whining around the characters and what keeps them busy. I find that a bit less successful, also because there is no one in the cast who can really make something of it. Push is a fast and colorful action movie, with some vague sci-fi stuff here and there. Nothing more nothing less.
