Borderlands plot
"Chaos loves company."
The infamous mysterious bandit Lilith is looking for the missing daughter of Atlas and returns to her home planet Pandora. I hate to say it, but the critics are right this time...
This movie is a disaster, very sloppily made with very lame humor....
Fans of this game are definitely not going to be satisfied.
I fear another box office flop....
Trailer was very well made though

All the bashing of the film aside, I secretly enjoyed the film. I played the first two games more than 10 years ago. The lore has escaped me. So I'll happily ignore the fanboy whining about the casting, for example. That was fine with me. What you get is a safe, but entertaining film that thunders through the playing time.
You can't call it good anywhere, so I can certainly agree with those criticisms. But I really had to laugh at claptrap every now and then and the colorful world is beautifully created. Of course you can feel that they are playing it too safe and that it has become too much of a child-friendly film. You know that the potential is not being exploited and that a much more brutal film could have been created. But with the predictable plot, this film simply hit a sweet spot for me so that I enjoyed it. I'm still being generous despite the historical whining about the same film from the whole world. It's not that bad. I'll turn on the Mufasa trailer for that....
Nowadays, you never have a middle ground online. Either it is extremely good or extremely shit. Can something also just be mediocre or disappointing without everything being (unfairly) criticized?

Not really that bad. Know the games quite well, have been playing all versions for months. What I really missed in the movie was the interest in weapons. In the game you find new weapons all the time and then try them out. Every weapon is different. Here they almost all shot with bullets. And nowhere a legendary, too bad :,-(
2.5 stars. During the fight scenes I could barely keep my eyes open.
