Seen yesterday in Premiere.

Pleasantly surprised by this film.

Good cast & story.

Pace was good with building tension.

Could be the best horror of this year, for now it is.

Not that we've had really good horrors before, but this one is really good.

Horror... More like a Police/Thriller.

It was certainly a good movie.

Good acting, good story, small mysterious side.

But please don't expect it to be very scary, as most say.

Otherwise you will be disappointed.

In terms of shocking images, there are some in them.

Nicolas Cage didn't appear enough. But it did well.

All in all, certainly a successful film, but the hype surrounding this film is a bit too exaggerated.

Look, this is a horror movie the way I like to see them. Where many titles nowadays rely on jump scares and cheap CGI-generated monsters, Longlegs gets its power from creepiness. There is a constantly eerie atmosphere, which gives you the feeling that behind every scene there is a devilish entity lurking who at times shows his face unannounced and mercilessly. All this results in bizarre, crystal-hard and ultra-realistic misery. Only out-of-tune strumming on violins as musical support and gun shots that sound like firecrackers in empty soda cans provide a very dry sound design that fits perfectly into the whole. Monroe plays stoic and socially awkward and does so with verve. Cage is unrecognizable, crazy and extremely unpredictable: a role that is tailor-made for him. The film starts a bit slowly and only gives you loose puzzle pieces for three quarters of the playing time, which constantly makes you think. Not disturbing - even pleasant - is that this puzzle is presented to you at the end in a literally childish way, followed by an inevitable and thrilling final scene that sets your teeth on edge. Textbook horror. Go experience it.

One of the best - if not the best - horror films I have seen in the last ten years. A small 4.5 is certainly appropriate.
