What is the plot of Longlegs?

Directed by Oz Perkins, the official premise reads:

'Lee Harker, a talented new FBI agent, has been assigned to an unsolved case of a serial killer. As the investigation becomes more complicated and occult evidence is uncovered, Harker realizes a personal link to the ruthless killer and must act quickly to prevent another family murder.'

Longlegs stars Maika Monroe, Nicolas Cage, Alicia Witt and Blair Underwood.

Kudos to the marketing team for this one, as the two teasers that have been released are fabulous, giving away just the right amount of information while leaving us desperate to know more. We don't even see Cage or Monroe, so these are the definition of teaser trailers.

In the first, the camera focuses on a family of three - a father, mother and daughter.

A voiceover from the father on a 911 call says:

"It's my daughter...I gotta be quiet...that's not my daughter."

We then see the elongated legs of a victim. Queue the chills!

For the second trailer, we see an FBI agent opening up floorboards to reveal...something, while a voiceover plays: "Are you still saying your prayers, prayers protect us from the devil."
