Koktebel plot

After his wife's death, an engineer turns to drink and loses his job. After that, he decides to travel with his eleven-year-old son from Moscow to his sister's house in Koktebel on the Black Sea. It is a journey of more than 1600 kilometers. Without money or any form of transport, they wander in good hope through the vast landscapes. For the father, the journey is a way to regain his self-esteem, get his life back on track, and regain his son's trust. The son sees Koktebel's fabulous coast as the beginning of a new life and independence.
