The Madonna's Secret plot
James Harlan Corbinan is an eccentric painter from Paris who came to New York City to escape a controversy surrounding his work. James' problem boils down to the fact that the model he has used in all his work has been found dead in the Seine. A little later, James' first model in New York is also found dead. When his second model Helen North is also found dead, her sister Linda 'Morgan' North poses as a model to prove his guilt. However, Linda falls in love with James instead.
