Nightmare plot
"THREE SHOCKING MURDERS...did she DREAM them? ...or DO them?"
Janet is a student at a girls' boarding school and is plagued by terrible nightmares. In those dreams she is chased by her mother who is in reality in a closed institution. When she is expelled from school, she is forced to go home, where the dreams only get worse.

And another Hammer film set in the present....1964 that is. Slightly less thrills than in Scream of Fear from 3 years earlier. The first half with Janet and her nightmares is somewhat familiar territory. Fortunately, the plot then takes a sharp turn and it all becomes a lot more interesting in the second half.
