Du Hast Es Versprochen plot
During their childhood, Hanna and Clarissa were best friends. They spent every vacation together with their parents in an old summer cottage on a small island. Shortly after Hanna's ninth birthday, they suddenly lost contact until an unexpected reunion occurs 25 years later. Hanna works at a hospital where Clarissa is brought in after taking an overdose of sleeping pills. They pick up their friendship again and spontaneously decide to spend a few days on the island, just like they used to. When Hanna finds out that a former girlfriend has disappeared on the island, she begins to search the past. Something terrible must have happened on the island then.
