Fortunately, they have returned to the melancholy approach at Black Mirror, after the disappointing fourth season. Bandersnatch has a nice atmosphere and is nice and fatalistic. It's also nice how the meta-concept of 'pac man in a maze' has been worked out by letting that guy wander around in a maze by means of the controlling.

Original and innovative idea, of course, as to be expected from Black Mirror, but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't quite come through. The 80s atmosphere is nicely hit and there are a few nice jokes in it, but as a guiding viewer you are forced in a certain direction by the director. Lots of repetition, wrong choice is back to square one. Anyway, that made me feel like I couldn't really steer the story in its own direction. But hey, maybe I'll be sent and I just think I can make my own choices.
