During World War I, Jerry Jones is a dancer in a musical for the military. When he is injured during the war, he becomes a producer. During WWII his son Johnny Jones is called up by the army to produce a show, This is the army. On a personal level, however, things are not going well because he refuses to marry his fiancée before the war is over.
