My Gal Sal plot
In nineteenth-century Indiana, young Paul Dresser runs away from home and, after painful accidents, joins Colonel Truckee's drug show. He has to write songs and in the meantime he meets the beautiful Mae Collins. When the show is visited by the mocking and alluring actress Sally, Paul immediately finds her very attractive. Paul's songs, sung by Sally, become hits and a love-hate relationship blossoms.
