The second part of the series starts with a fantastic scene. An outrageous and bizarre kill that I found pleasantly grotesque and shocking as well as humorous and which I hoped would set the tone for the rest of the film. Great kick off.

Right with the door in the house. No, the tone was not set. Part 2 is a lot less fun than part 1. The film does have some pleasant slaughter work in store along the way. Yes, but there is no room for suspense and tension building between the kills.

The acting is bad. Maybe I shouldn't expect that either, but in part 1 Eliza Dushku played quite a game as a resilient victim, sympathetic character and pleasant appearance. Exactly what the movie lacks. A character that evokes feeling. This film is full of caricatures whose only reason for existence is to be butchered. No interesting characters, but just well cast as beef cattle.

The humor is also bad. No nice one-liner or funny text spotted. Lots of bland bites passed by. Not funny. Very annoying.

Lots of explicit gore, nice kills and fine degenerate monsters. It's not enough. A slasher with only some creativity in the kills and the killers and nothing else, simply offers too little.

I'll skip part 3.

Rewatched part 1 yesterday and today this part, I found this part a lot coarser in quality than the 1st part, lots of blood, severed limbs and more.

Where you could still watch the 1st part reasonably in terms of gore, this part was quite distasteful, especially as the end progresses it gets worse.

I thought this part was about as good as the 1st part, a little less in terms of tension, but the atmosphere was the same as the 1st part and again a good ending!

This one is also 3 stars.

Cannibalistic Gorefest with many negatives...

Very brutal film but unfortunately the acting is so weak to sometimes even annoyingly bad... on the other hand, the film contains a lot of (brutal) Kills & Gore!!!

The setting gives a desolate and oppressive feeling. The chemical incest cannibals compliment this with their wild and menacing behavior.

Henry Rollins is lucky to have such a legendary name (in my opinion mainly because of Black Flag) but oh oh oh the acting often goes pretty bad for him...

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Influences are amply reflected in the film. Which is very dope of course!!!

A meager ☆2.0 for this gorefest...
