Director Jason Winn attempts to piggyback on the financial success of Tarot via Tubi. In essence, this cheaper version does not differ much from the former, as the story is more or less the same. However, Winn handles certain matters somewhat more boldly, as the characters die slightly less emphatically in a PG-13 manner and the murders are more drawn out. The cinematography, however, looks significantly cheaper, and overall, the acting is not great, although the young cast members do their best with the fairly limited material they have been given. It is all quite entertaining and never drags on too long, but put this alongside the direct source material (you could certainly call it that when the title as well as the content are copied almost exactly) and Tarot Curse pales in comparison.
