Outpost plot

"You can't kill what's already dead!"

Mysterious businessman Hunt hires the ex-Marine DC to travel with a team to an uninhabited place for a simple mission. The team must do a small job in an old, abandoned bunker, a task that at first glance seems like a breeze. But once inside the bunker, DC and his men discover that horrific experiments were done in this old bunker during World War II. When the men suddenly find a survivor, they slowly but surely find out that something is wrong and the men are in grave danger.

What a bad movie. Students can still make these kinds of films. Nothing positive to add at all.

Outpost is a great horror movie that is easy to sit out. Steve Barker knows how to make a well-dressed, visually appealing and atmospheric horror. Certainly a fine achievement, especially when you consider the fact that a lot of worse movies have been made that include Nazis. Nazis and horror generally don't go well together. Barker manages to make it all just interesting enough. There was no more living there.

Ray Stevenson plays the most solid as the ex-marine DC He plays well but never steals the show. At times Stevenson even comes across as tame and unable to convince. Julian Wadham plays the intellectual, unfortunately he doesn't do it with gusto. At times he is even annoying. Michael Smiley is still the funniest as the character Mckay. None of the cast does a very bad job, but they also don't know how to act remarkable.

Outpost is well decorated, something that immediately stands out. The costumes, weapons and all other attributes are of excellent quality and convincing. The bunker is nice and gruesome and manages to create an effective atmosphere. The gore is also fine and certainly does not detract from the film.

Outpost is a nice video and knows how to interest enough. It's certainly not the worst in the genre and that makes it worth watching. Don't expect anything fancy but just a well-crafted horror.

3*

Still a bit boring. I never find the war setting that fascinating anyway, although the so-called Nazi occultism remains fascinating.

The setting, with the gray bunker in front, is successful. However, the build-up is a bit too long, especially for a story that is not special. The Nazis are convincing and steal the show with their tight uniforms, swastikas, deep breathing and their hidden faces. The rest of the cast could barely captivate me.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, there is a bit too much war going on. There were quite a few nice kills in it, but that is rather disappointing. setback.
