Jannie Totsiens plot

Jannie is an artist and is placed in an institution by his parents, because they can no longer stand his face. He meets another patient, some of whom are healthy. Gradually, Jannie's life changes when the others reject him. When a patient dies, Jannie is designated as the scapegoat.
