Incredibly long, drawn-out nonsense, of which the first 3 minutes are more interesting on almost every level than the subsequent 116. It is not surprising that certain horror science fiction films want to introduce themselves, but the time that director Gus Holwerda spends on drama, structure, introduction and even "flashbacks" " is really incredible. Only five minutes within the full running time of Intersect (including the opening) ultimately have to do with the horror genre, furthermore Holwerda turns it into youth sentiment with a good dose of adult drama. After the first half has finally left the inhumanly long build-up behind, we then thunder towards the second half of the film and there they travel back in time. This must then also be rebuilt from scratch. It really drove me crazy, because I really couldn't believe that the film I had in front of me was seriously made with complete dedication. In addition, it is all so unnecessarily sentimental and clichéd that there is actually no justification for it at all. The content of the story is also clearly too heavy for the cast members, who walk around like a bunch of drunken vampires looking for blood. I still appreciated Abe Ruthless as Nate, but only because his figure is so out of place that it somehow becomes fun again. I award an extra 0.5* to the first few minutes and the design of the creatures, otherwise a big waste of my time.
