"Be careful what you wish for"
Twelve years after discovering her mother committed suicide, 17-year-old Clare Shannon (Joey King) is bullied in high school, embarrassed by her manic father Jonathan (Ryan Philippe) and ignored by her former love. However, everything changes when her father comes home with an old music box that promises the owner seven wishes. Clare is skeptical at first but is tempted anyway. She is delighted that her life changes radically with every wish. Everything seems perfect, until people around her start to die.

I thought this was a pretty nice video. It's not really exciting and it's not deep either, but the girl plays quite 'okay'.
The 'horror' is hard to find. Ryan must be ashamed when he saw this film again.
But for a 'snack' the film is fine.
Sidney Park plays the best of them all and really stands out. She only had a 'supporting role' in this film but will stay with me for a while. Beautiful girl with charisma and spunk.

Indeed a fun teen horror with a touch of humor, horror and love. A little of everything and too much of nothing.
Too bad the director (John R. Leonetti) didn't go further with the outcomes of for example the first wish, maybe too gruesome? He is also known for his B-movies, including Annabelle from 2014.
A 7 from us also because of the enthusiastic play of the actors.

Watched this without great expectations and it was an entertaining film. A fun story that certainly didn't bore. The cast was fine. It won't be scary, but you are curious how it will end.
