An unsuccessful stage actor is mistaken for a San Francisco hit man, and mobster Ace takes him to painting collector and mob boss Leo (who actually had a large collection of paintings). Both don't know he's an actor, and Jack now gets the big chance to give away a stage number when the real killer shows up.
