My Uncle the Alien plot

"All he wanted was to find his family."

While visiting a childcare center in Los Angeles, it becomes clear to the president's wife and her daughter Kelly that the facility will close due to money problems. Kelly says in a conversation with the media that her uncle, who is said to be a cross between Santa Claus and an alien, may be able to solve the problems. The media opens a veritable manhunt for Kelly, which causes her to run away and run straight into the arms of a couple of kidnappers.
