Ewoks: The Battle for Endor plot

"An adventure on a world beyond the stars."

In the beginning of the second Ewok film, Cindel's brother and parents are murdered by Terak. Terak is the king of the Marauders, a vile group of space wanderers who live in an abandoned castle on Endor's moon. Cindel and Wicket the Ewok escape when the Marauders attack the Ewok Village. Fortunately, they get help from an old man, Noa (Wilford Brimley), who, like Cindel, is also stranded on Endor.

Awesome! The layout of The Battle for Endor is really great, the story is beautiful. the Ewok movie is a little more fantasy than Star Wars. Star Wars is more SF. the effects are very good for a TV movie of that time. Terak is played by the Dutch Carel Struycken (see here). Okay, it's a bit more childish than Lucas actually wanted, but a good children's film is also nice!

Those villains made me think of Rita Repulsa, Goldar and all those other weirdos on that palace on the moon, with the difference that Power Rangers still has youth sentiment. No, I really didn't like this second Ewok film at all. Really a children's film, in a bad way. Not credible anywhere for me, mediocre story, boringly filmed, nowhere exciting and poorly acted. And where the first Ewok film still had a little bit of Star Wars atmosphere, that is completely absent here. 0.5*.
