"Here they grow again."
A few years after the events of Gremlins, Billy and Kate live in New York, where they work for the trillionaire Daniel Clamp. But when at some point the Mogwai Gizmo comes back into the hands of Billy, the latter has to make sure that no one sees the little creature. However, when little Mogwai gets wet, a whole bunch of filthy Gremlins suddenly appear. And while Billy and Kate try to stop these horrific creatures, the little monsters make a big mess of Clamp's large office building.

For those who thought Gremlins was crazy; Joe Dante gives here a textbook example of a sequel in which every aspect is mainly 'more, more, more'. Dante goes way over the top and this time unleashes the creatures in a New York apartment building with Christopher Lee's chemistry experiments so they can turn into all kinds of crazy monsters. Dante goes wild here; of Airplane-esque jokes (those voices through the building), the most idiotic cameos and countless moments where the fourth wall is broken. Gremlins 2: The New Batch is a completely ridiculous cartoon with more idiocy than you can handle. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes a bit too bland, but actually non-stop entertaining!

Watched this classic again today, because I hadn't voted for it yet.
Like Gremlin's part 1, this was just a really fun comedy. Everything happens and you never get bored. Those iconic monsters are even bolder and crazier than its predecessor with all the consequences that entails.
Definitely a big enough, 3.5 stars.

Nice sequel to the first part. Took a while to see this one. For the first we ran enthusiastically to the video store, but in 1990 the priorities were apparently slightly different in the field of film. Less surprising of course, less cute too, the first part was also a kind of Christmas movie. But it's all fun with the Gremlins who turn an entire Trump Tower into a big mess here. Christopher Lee also pops by!
