Digby, the Biggest Dog in the World plot

Digby is a sheepdog who accidentally drinks an experimental growth potion and grows to enormous proportions. Two criminals steal Digby to sell him to the circus, but Digby manages to escape. The boy who owned Digby and the scientists who created the potion realize that he continues to grow. This could cause enormous damage to the country. Something has to happen. The scientists develop a potion that will have to make Digby small again, but the British army wants to solve this problem in their own way; through weapons.
