If all the crazy, raunchy, perverted and absurd thoughts/fantasies you can think of as a person were put in one movie, you would get something a bit like Kuso I suspect. Statements such as 'the grossest film ever made' should usually be taken with a grain of salt, but in this case they are not so exaggerated. I thought it was funny that there was hardly any violence in the film. The grossness is mainly due to the amount of bodily fluids, which sometimes also come from unexpected angles. FlyLo goes through quite a few buckets and some scenes certainly don't miss their effect.

Furthermore, the film is a totally absurd sketch of a post-apocalyptic world, told through a kind of sketch-like structure. As if the 'stories' themselves weren't bizarre enough, the film also regularly goes off the rails in a playful way with abstract, hallucinatory intermediate sequences, musical intermezzos and even animated parts. Every second of the film is something to enjoy, something unique or something totally absurd to see. A relief, because it's been a while since I've been watching a movie with open mouth.

Visually there is some room for improvement, but the soundtrack certainly lives up to it. Remarkably much ambient, by the way, often worked very atmospheric and alienating. The smearing of turds over faces almost transcends into a poetic act thanks to beautiful ambient. Immediately recognized the hand of grandmaster Yamaoka, whose soundtrack sometimes even gives the film a Silent Hill vibe. FlyLo itself also does an excellent job with its soundtrack.

Kuso is basically everything, but above all it is mind-boggling. And for me again a confirmation of what a great medium film it really is. It doesn't happen very often that a film really surprises me after all the jackhammers, tentacle sex, ejaculating sock puppets and murderous sheep I've already seen. heh. Thick 4.5*.

Bizarre and experimental, that's at least you can say, there were a few rare nice bits in it, like around 1:04 am and between 1:20 am-end eg, but it wasn't fuckedup or gore for me at all, which I had expected and hoped for. The trippy nightmary doesn't come through well. Oh nice for once, I can check this one off and nice that this is in people's heads and therefore still a.6/10, but then give me a Lucifer Valentine and Marian Dora

What kind of a movie was that? No viewing pleasure at all, even if it is special, original or whatever… Yes, some images may absolutely be there, but as a whole, in short, one gastric juice full of nasty ideas about sex and vomiting. Different genres are offered, but only the fantasy manages to stand out. 2/10
