Everyone in Justine's family is a veterinarian and vegetarian. At sixteen she is a brilliant and promising student. As she begins her veterinary training, she enters a decadent, merciless and dangerously seductive world. During the first week of hazing rituals, she tries to adapt at all costs, even if she strays from her family principles when she eats raw meat for the first time. But more horrors await.

Awesome.
Simply the best horror draft nomination I've seen so far. This film will probably also go straight into my favorites list, because what a brilliant experience this was. Never been so impressed by a horror movie.
Whether or not it made me faint, no, but the film does indeed have a lot of uncomfortable and dirty moments that in turn certainly stand out. The film actually takes you into the experience quite quickly, and is fascinating from minute 1.
There couldn't have been a better choice than Marillier, the innocent look she gives is really just perfect. But everyone around her also acts above average, and the film has an intriguing tone.
The horror is pretty hard, but not in the way you'd expect it to be. I also left my food for a while, because it is actually not shunned. In fact, they're quite into it. Visually, the film is also fine. Beautiful shots and images of the Belgian landscape.
This is simply a topper, which is absolutely never boring and never feels too long. Maybe not for everyone, but this is simply one of the very best horror movies for me. No nonsense, no unnecessary drama and always something special. I love this.

very impressive!
Didn't expect it to come like this. Was glued to the screen throughout the movie. Julia Ducournau delivers an incredibly strong and original film for her debut. Garance Marillier is very handsome and I was kind of mesmerized by her acting, great actress! The soundtrack and visuals are also very strong. This was a very unique movie experience for me and that's why it made it to my top 10!
