Ye Shan plot
Two mismatched couples forage for a living in the poverty-stricken province of Shaanxi. The voluptuous, energetic Guilan is left with a rather passive and perhaps impotent husband, Huihui. And the sensitive, traditionally minded Qiurong has just divorced her husband, Hehe, whose attempts to raise money have led to debt and made them even poorer than they already were.
