XIX Saukunis Qartuli Qronika plot

Sometime in the second half of the nineteenth century, student Niko returns from Saint Petersburg to his native village in Georgia. Here he finds out that foreign investors want to buy the local forest. Realizing that the forest of the indigenous people and the graves of their ancestors are at stake, Niko, with the blessings of the villagers, moves from one government agency to another to save the forest.
