Maria arrives in Montreal from Manila to live with her grandmother. However, she finds it difficult to adjust to her new environment. Afro-Colombian Alex has been deported to Colombia from the United States. His old neighborhood is now controlled by criminals. David leaves his native village after his father's death to find work at a construction site in Mexico City. The film follows the three teenagers who experience the same experiences of grief, migration and transformation in different cities.
