Va, Vis et Deviens plot
1984, famine in Africa. Hunger drives thousands of Africans from 26 countries to a refugee camp in Sudan. At the initiative of Israel and the United States of America, an action is being launched to transfer the Ethiopian Jews to Israel. A Christian mother forces her 9-year-old son to register as a Jew and save herself from starvation. Officially declared an orphan, the child arrives in the Holy Land where it is adopted by a French family from Tel Aviv. He grows up fearing that his double lie will come out: neither Jew nor orphan, just a black African. He discovers love, Western culture, Judaism, but also racism and war in the occupied territories.
