Visual artist Ai Weiwei visited the places where the refugee crisis is most visible and palpable. Ai Weiwei alternates conversations with refugees, with whom he lived and sympathized with visual portraits of the camps in which millions of them reside. During his trip, he also speaks with officials and aid workers, trying to give a face and a voice to the human story behind the refugee crisis.
