"Sometimes Love Can Silence All Reason"

In high school, Heather and Lucas' friendship turns into a love affair. This much to the dismay of Lucas' father, the richest man in town. He has very different aspirations for his son and forbids Lucas to hang out with Heather any longer. But this resistance just confirms the deep feelings they have for each other. Then Lucas learns that Heather is pregnant. He is overjoyed and wants to marry her. Their happiness comes to an abrupt end when Lucas is badly injured during a sports game. In a coma, he is taken to the hospital where he will eventually stay for more than a year. When Lucas finally returns home, the most difficult period in his life begins, full of frustrating memories. His child is not recognized by his parents and he will comply with his father's wish: to marry the right girl. Faced with problems old and new, Lucas must find an answer to the question of what matters most in his life.
