Wallis & Edward plot
In 1936, Edward VIII loses his right to the English throne by marrying an American woman. This woman, Wallis Simpson, had already been divorced twice. The issue caused a scandal worldwide. The film follows both individuals from the beginning of their relationship. At that time Edward was still Prince of Wales and Wallis was still married to Ernest Simpson.
