The film is quite real, except for the last half hour. While it can certainly happen, the ending is too rushed to be believable. Why they didn't choose to include a few more scenes in the second half is beyond me. In exchange for the long credits.

The producers apparently also thought it was a rare twist of events and chose to have a minimal influence on the film.

As I watched it, I kept wondering if we could learn anything from it. For our own democracies and the weaknesses of capitalism in the hands of man. Looking at where the world is now, the answer is obvious, this is entertainment. The film is therefore enjoyable, also for those who fight against current harmful forms of capitalism.

Are or will you ever be rich as Gekko, make an effort to do the opposite of Gekko with at least 50% of your wealth - support the right projects, expand workforce, pay viability, social security, support unions, at least not destroy it. Will the Bud Fox 3.0

Nice Stone.

I knew the film for a long time, but I never actually knew it was Oliver Stone who directed the film. As a director, he can do quite a bit with his films and has brought several classics to life, but as soon as he plunges into rude sentiment, things quickly go wrong. Wall Street is somewhere in between.

It is actually just a fresh interpretation of a dull concept, but with a very predictable and clumsy course. No matter how realistic you try to portray the characters, someone like Gordon Gekko will always remain a made character. It does have a lot of charm and clear motifs, but I also think it's a very cinematic role.

Visually not too special, but the pace does a lot of wonders and ensures that the film becomes a very smooth interpretation. Despite the many annoying characters (Charlie Sheen, Daryl Hannah) the film continues to look like a train and almost passes you by. Douglas' speeches also contribute well to this, I think it is certainly one of his better roles.

Slightly unsatisfactory second half of the film that touches a bit too much of a path of basic stuff, otherwise enjoyable, smooth and fast. Wall Street alone couldn't really convince me as a movie, because I'm sure only Gekko will really stick with me. Maybe that's because the main character was completely uninteresting to me, but oh well. Nice movie to watch once I would say.
