Vorspiel plot
Seventeen-year-old Tom, who is training to be a decorator, falls in love with Corinna, the daughter of the newly appointed museum director. He hears that she wants to go to drama school and from now on that is also Tom's wish. He makes clumsy approaches and manages to catch her briefly in his arms. But then he discovers that she is in love with his friend Major, leader of the clique that impresses girls with their motorcycle.
