Un Enfant dans la Foule plot
Paul is a reserved child and very attached to his mother. His parents are divorced and at the outbreak of the war, he is with his grandmother, in Saint-Denis. In exchange for small services, Paul receives cigarettes and some money from the German soldiers, which he gives to his mother. But she is impervious to the signs of affection he gives her. Paul steals left and right and has his first homosexual affair. At the liberation, he makes small trades with American soldiers but he still suffers from his mother's indifference...
