Tolerating the abuse of her 23-year-older husband, Reiko is friends with Mayumi, a beautiful widow. Reiko meets her husband's business rival, a young and smart businessman, and she falls for him. Meanwhile, Mayumi develops a relationship with Shimotsuma, a friend of her late husband.
