Transpapa plot
Maren is in the midst of puberty when she learns from her mother that her father, who left the family years ago, is now a woman. She secretly sets off for the Eifel region in search of her father. She finds her father in the guise of Sophia, who, like his teenage daughter, suffers from the hormones. "He" is preferably a good friend, but even more, Maren's "mother". In this rural setting, Sophia lives in the house of an elderly man and is probably not only his housekeeper, but also his partner. Maren tries to make sense of her new relationship with Sophia.
