Toter Mann plot

Thomas Richter, lawyer, observes a woman, Leyla, while she is swimming. He later meets her again and falls in love with her. But after their first night together, she disappears. She later shows up in another town, takes a job in a factory canteen and meets another man, Blum, who has spent the past fourteen years in prison and undergoing psychiatric treatment. But he has been given a second chance, and is participating in a rehabilitation program. Meanwhile, Thomas is looking for her, and clues lead him to Blum, who is also one of his clients. When he finds out the connection between the two, the two are gone...
