"Three other women and I were raped while our men were away!" Lushe breaks the silence after a long time and talks to a foreign journalist about her fate in the Balkan War. She does this anonymously. The fear of the shame that one's own wife could have been a victim of rape is ever present in the village in Kosovo. In general, the truth is concealed. When it becomes known that Lushe has been talking, she is labeled a liar. Worse, she faces exile from the village.
