The Yellow-Back plot

Jules Breton, a fur trapper, kills a man in a brawl in a pub, and O'Mara, a mounted police officer, is ordered to catch him. O'Mara finds Breton with Elsie Loisel, Breton's fiancée, after which the men fight. Elsie knocks O'Mara unconscious with metal pliers, and Breton escapes. The next day, Elsie leads the unsuspecting officer astray.
