The Star Witness plot
"The Greatest Picture of the Year!"
The Leeds family witnesses a series of murders by top mobster Maxey Campo. As a result, they become involved in a war between the underworld and the police at the risk of their own lives. When son Donny is kidnapped by Campo, the family is forced to retract their statements. Prosecutor Whitlock is ordered to keep the family alive and make an incriminating statement in court.
