The Shepherd King plot
Moses leads the Israelites past the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx on their way out of Egypt towards the Promised Land. Generations later, King Saul of Judah defies the prophecy by offering a burnt offering in preparation for an attack on the Philistines without waiting for the arrival of the prophet Samuel. In response, Samuel tells Saul that he will lose the throne. Samuel seeks someone worthy to become the next king and chooses the young shepherd David, secretly telling the boy that he will become king at a later time.
