"Beautiful Maria...the four lives that touched hers were never the same again!"

After World War II comes to an end, British Colonel Michael "Hooky" Nicobar is assigned to help repatriate residents of the Soviet Union in Vienna. He comes into contact with a Russian ballerina who tries at all costs to avoid being sent back to Moscow.
