The Match King plot

Paul Kroll is a businessman who takes over a bankrupt Swedish match factory. He turns to lies and deceit to gain business support for this operation. Without any sense of ethics, Kroll buys up all existing patents and that ultimately results in a monopoly position within the match industry. He will be concerned that he will destroy lives and break all the laws of Europe as a result. Kroll eventually collapses on a personal level when an actress cheats on him. From a business perspective, the global crisis is looming.
