The Long Day's Dying plot
John (David Hemmings), Cliff (Tony Beckley), and Tom (Tom Bell) are three British soldiers who become trapped in German territory while waiting for their officer to come and rescue them. John hates the war, Cliff, on the other hand, enjoys it and Tom is tired of the whole thing. While trying to evade the Germans, they come across a German officer who they capture. They want to execute him, but the officer begs them to take him to his commanders.
